Astrophotography Gallery • Milky Way, Deep Sky Objects, Moon

Welcome to my astrophotography gallery - a curated collection of my best shots of the night sky.

This page showcases my favorite astrophotos taken over the last several years, including:

  • Wide-field images of the Milky Way
  • Deep-sky objects like nebulae and galaxies
  • Lunar photography, including eclipses and surface detail shots

All images were captured from my home base in Poland using budget-friendly gear and a lot of patience. I photograph under challenging conditions - light pollution, unpredictable weather, and limited sky access - but that's what makes each successful frame feel like a small victory.

My goal with this gallery is to show what's possible in amateur astrophotography using accessible equipment and simple techniques. I hope it inspires you to try capturing the night sky yourself.

If you're just getting started, check out my Astrophotography for Beginners guide.

Want to learn how I captured specific shots? Here are four blog posts that go behind the scenes:

  • Learn how to photograph the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) with a simple DSLR camera and a telephoto lens (no telescope required!).
Andromeda Galaxy (M31): How to Photograph with a DSLR Camera
  • Pleiades (M45/Seven Sisters) - How To Photograph, Tips, Facts
  • North America Nebula - How to Photograph With a Telephoto Lens
  • Rosette Nebula - Astrophotography How-To and Tips

You can also find more inspiration on NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day - one of my favorite places online.

Astrophotography is both a technical and artistic pursuit - one that constantly teaches patience, precision, and problem-solving. Over the years, I've experimented with various setups, from DSLR cameras and budget refractors to narrowband filters and star trackers. Every photo in this gallery is the result of careful planning, trial and error, and nights spent under cold, clear skies.

I don't operate from a dark-sky location or a professional observatory. Most of these images were taken from my backyard balcony or short trips to rural areas - proof that you don't need perfect conditions to enjoy and document the cosmos.

This astrophotography gallery continues to evolve as I learn and explore new targets in the night sky. I regularly update it with fresh photos, techniques, and personal challenges I'm working on - so feel free to return from time to time and see what's new.

If you're an astrophotographer yourself, or just beginning to explore this hobby, I hope this gallery serves as both a source of ideas and motivation. And if you simply enjoy looking at stars, galaxies, and cosmic colors - I'm glad you're here.

Thanks for visiting - and clear skies!
